Dr. Thomas Mathew received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois and then graduated medical school at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He completed his Gastroenterology Fellowship at Scripps Green Hospital in San Diego, where he underwent additional training for ERCP. Dr. Mathew joined GAO in October 2010. Dr. Mathew is Board Certified in Gastroenterology. Dr. Mathew practices in our office in Summerfield/The Villages. He is proficient in EGD, colonoscopy, hemorrhoid banding, and treatment for incontinence. He takes all major medical insurances.
